2018 Scholarship Requirements
Candidate for the Hands-On Driver Training Scholarship must be a student that has completed the training program to include the classroom and all driving sessions.
Candidate must be a 2018 High School Graduate with acceptance from a 2-year or 4-year College or University.
Candidate must submit a copy of their College Acceptance Letter.
Candidate must have a high school GPA of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 grading scale.
Candidate must submit a copy of their High School transcript with the cumulative GPA average included with the scholarship application.
Candidate must submit an Academic Resume indicating employment history (if any), club association and any volunteer work done in the community.
Candidate must submit a 500 word essay typed and double-spaced with 12 pt. font with 1 inch margins. Essay should be written on the topic of: “The Effects of Teen Use of Alcohol and Drugs While Operating a Motor Vehicle”
Candidate must submit the scholarship application and all documentation by U. S. Mail on or before May 1, 2018. Applications submitted electronically will not be accepted.
All documentation must be received or postmarked on or before May 1, 2018. There will be one scholarship offered per year in the amount of $500 per scholarship. The scholarship will be payable to the recipient's College or University. It will be the recipient’s responsibility to provide the accounts payable address. Applications received from students who did not participate in the complete Hands-On Driver Training program will not be considered. Only the candidate selected will be notified.
